The East Central Regional Rail Trail and Spring to Spring Trail are part of the larger St. Johns River to Sea Loop, which is still being developed. Florida offers year-round biking, with West Volusia County's well-paved trails being award winning.
Even if you're not nearby, it's easy to explore—load your bike and head to the trailhead. With minimal traffic, these family-friendly trails offer the perfect setting for worry-free rides.
Green Springs Park

With options for a 2.5-mile ride in one direction or a nearly 6-mile journey leading to the beautiful Gemini Springs.
Lake Beresford Park

It's best to visit this trail during the cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late afternoon, to avoid the heat and potential insect activity. This trail winds through lush landscapes, providing stunning views of Lake Beresford and its surrounding wildlife. Ideal for cyclists of all skill levels, it offers a peaceful and refreshing ride, making it an excellent spot for casual riders and those seeking adventure.
Blue Springs State Park Trail

This trail is perfect for beginners in the area. The singletrack is relatively slow, winding, and not too challenging. All the trails are two-way and interconnected. However, during the summer months, the trail can become quite infested with insects, so it’s a good idea to come prepared.
East Central Regional Rail Trail

Gemini Springs West Trailhead

This 5-mile round-trip trail features a scenic paved path, perfect for biking, walking, and running. Those looking for a longer adventure can extend their journey past Gemini Springs.
Spring to Spring Section of the St Johns River-to-Sea Loop (Still in Progress)
The trail stretches 26 miles from Green Springs Volusia County Park to DeLeon Springs State Park on the northeast end, passing through stunning spots like Lake Monroe, Gemini Springs Parks, and Blue Spring State Park. You can add a 4-mile spur to Lake Monroe Park for an even longer ride, bringing the total distance to 30 miles. Shaded and picture-worthy, this trail offers one of the most scenic bike rides in Florida, with numerous trailheads to explore.
