2025 County of Volusia Summer Program

PROGRAM INFORMATION
Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture has scheduled supervised play, games, and field trips daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 9 through July 25 for children ages 5 to 12. Five-year-olds must have completed kindergarten. Programs close promptly at 5:30 p.m. Children picked up late will be assessed a $10 late fee per 15 minutes, starting at 5:31 per child. 

FEES
The weekly fee of $80 covers all field trip entrance costs. This fee remains unchanged regardless of your child’s attendance, and payment is required in full each week, even if your child does not attend. There will be no reduction in fees for partial attendance. One week of vacation is permitted. A one-time, non-refundable $20 registration fee is required per child to participate in the Summer Recreation Program. T-shirts are included in the fee and must be worn on all field trip days. All fees must be paid by check or money order on Mondays only. CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Checks should be made payable to the County of Volusia, and a driver’s license number must be on all checks.

REGISTRATION
Registration will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Registration will be held at the following locations: 

• Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave
▪ Registration for DeBary Hall, Gemini Springs, and Valentine Park camps
• Chisholm Community Center, 520 S. Clara Ave, DeLand
▪ Registration for Chisholm Center, Boy Scout Hut, and Taylor T. DeWitt camps
•James Street Park, 1700 S. James St., South Daytona
▪Registration for Holly Hill School, James Street Park, and RJ Longstreet Elementary camps
• New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S Dixie Fwy
▪ Registration for Coronado Beach Elementary, Edgewater Public School, and Mary DeWees Park camps

Parks, Recreation, and Culture can limit the number of registrants at each summer site.

BUS SCHEDULES 

To be assured a seat on the bus for trips and a spot in camp, you must register and pay by check or money order on Mondays before the week your child will be attending. Only children registered in the summer program may be transported on Volusia County buses. When attending prominent attractions, children ages 10 and under must stay with a recreation counselor, and children ages 11 and older may explore the attraction with a buddy or in a small group with parental permission. As you know, bus departure times are tentative; please arrive early and check daily with staff on any changes. Bus return times may vary due to traffic.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS 

Summer camp scholarships will be available to income-eligible households and awarded based on funding availability through Volusia County’s Summer Camp Scholarship Program. For more information on the 2025 Summer Camp Scholarship Program, please visit www.volusia.org/scs.
