Every Thursday, Macaroni KID West Volusia shares five things to do with your kids in West Volusia over the coming week.
Here are Macaroni KID West Volusia's picks for the five things to do in West Volusia with kids this week. Click on the links for all the details!
1. Be Safe
Volusia County Schools reported they would continue their closure through the duration of the hurricane to remain a shelter for families in need.
If the power goes out how are you getting updates? Got batteries for that radio, a generator or going to use your phone instead. A tip from the news, keep your generator in a shed outside your home. Sept 28 - Oct 2
2. Enjoy Your Family
Take some home videos of the family and hurricane events, have dance challenge, or play some games. No technology? I like a good book, puzzle or board game. The wind is already howling, stay safe. Sept 28-30
3. Crafts and Recipes
Each week, I try to find one craft and one recipe for you to enjoy. One way to enjoy your family is to do some indoor activities like creating a new recipe together or crafting for the season. Sept 28-30
4. Neighborhood Grilling
By the time the storm passes some people are going to experience power outages and if there is food in the refrigerator or freezer well a neighborhood cookout can be a fun way to get to know your neighbors and take time to appreciate, this storm has past. The kids will enjoy playing with new friends. Oct. 1-2
5. Event Calendar
Some activities will not happen in the event calendar. I would reach out to the business directly before heading out to any possible events posted. It's Florida, power outages, damage to a business and flooding can all impact the show. Sept 28 - Oct. 6
