The Arc of Volusia is hosting a Job a Palooza Thursday, February 27th at The Museum of Arts and Science Center in Daytona beach! Students and young adults age 14-21 will have the opportunity to rotate through 10 work stations completing job tasks with local businesses! Each student will chose 5 tasks to complete, practice and then participate in judging rounds where they are judged based on quality and/or quantity of completing the task!
We are looking for 30-40 students with an IEP to participate in this event! – All students will need to be registered with VR prior to the event. If you have students who will benefit from this event who are not yet registered with VR, please contact me and I will be able to assist you with this!
On December 11th, The Arc of Volusia had the opportunity to visit The Arc of Putnam County, Inc. for their Job a Palooza and it was a great event! Students loved it. It was a great opportunity to showcase the students abilities! Students ages 14-21 had the opportunity to discover jobs of interest in their community from rolling silverware to completing tasks required for Law Enforcement! Interview appointments were set up and students learned about services available to them!
