Pocket park underway in Montecito neighborhood

​The City of Deltona has begun construction of a "pocket" or "neighborhood" park on City-owned property located at the corner of Alton Road, Oberlin Lane and Montecito Avenue. The 3.5 acre park will include a small playground, swings and a pavilion. Every effort is being made to preserve many of the trees on this property. Several gopher tortoises have been safely relocated. Approximately 1.5 acres of the space will be left natural.
