My son turned 4 a couple weeks back, and I was not sure what I was doing or where I was going to have it. Being so hot outside, I really wanted to stay indoors, or have it at a place with a lot of shade. I wanted a place for the kids to be able to run around and just be free and play. The water park was going to be fine, but during this time, it gets crowded and it was just too hot for the kids to be out there. Also my son is a picky eater and I was looking for somewhere I could take my own food or have the option of ordering some pizza; which my son loves.
Well let me tell you, I found the perfect place with everything I was looking for and more! We decided to do my son’s birthday party at My Gym in Lake Mary. He had such a fun and amazing time! The best part is that they plan and create activities that target the birthday child and their friends. It was so nice to be inside with cool air, and not outside in the heat. My Gym Lake Mary is big enough for kids to run around and play. Even with all the fun equipment they have available. They have mats, balls, slides, a ball pit, a rock climbing wall, and even a gymnastic center.
The best part for me, as a parent was I was able to pick the date and time for the party online and one of the staff members will call you to go over all the party details. We ended up doing the Deluxe Celebration option. There are 3 other party packages to choose from depending how long you want it and what to include on it. There are also several add on options such as a bounce house, themed parties, party favor bags and more. Our party was 2 hrs total, but 30 minutes of it was added, the original time was for 1.5 hours which included 2 party specialists; which were great with the kids, cake and food cutting, a fun pass for the birthday child, paper goods and up to 18 kids (birthday child is free). Throughout the party, the 2 party specialists would play games with the kids that targeted my son’s age and his friends. They loved all the games! I was also able to bring food of my choice. This is great, as I always like to bring enough for the kids and the parents. I had sandwiches, popcorn chicken, juice boxes etc. The parents were also able to relax and eat something, while the kids played. Unless they were 3yrs or younger, who would need supervision at all times in the gym. You also had the option to order pizza through them if you choose to. They also setup and clean before and after the birthday party. What more can a mom ask for?
During the party, my son ran around everywhere, climbed on things, played the games, tried the rock climbing wall and even the kids zip line (which I think was his favorite) He had a blast! One of the biggest things I wanted to do for my son was during the party be able to play “The Ghostbusters” theme song, which he loves. They did just that…it was awesome!! The birthday child gets a special celebration part where they put them in a wagon with different props and come out from the back room to surprise their guests. My son LOVED this part because as he came out, they played his Ghostbusters song and all the kids were excited to see him and walked in back of the wagon with him celebrating his birthday. The party had everything I wanted, but most important everything my son wanted. He was able to enjoy his special day with his friends and family. If you have not had a party here, I strongly recommend you to check My Gym in Lake Mary out. It will truly be memorable. I know ours was!
